Care in Action was a project with teenagers in care producing protest dances, placards, music and costumes, whilst undertaking Bronze Arts Award. Supported by The Mighty Creatives, Virtual School and Gatehouse Theatre.
This was a highly delicate and personal process that enabled individuals to produce artworks independently whilst we gently encouraged collaboration as the week went on. We had some powerful discussions about change-making, swarming, the visual and personal power of moving in unison, civil dissobedience, personal vs global issues. We refined texts, made music for marching and took turns to facilitate.
