As guest lecturer at De Montfort, I had the pleasure of creating a piece with third year dance students in 2021.
The work saw bodies and ceramics come together in a research piece about our ‘fleshy innards’/lips/labia/pink bits and collective unity. The intimate devising process happened following the timely lifting of lockdown restrictions in the UK and was an opportunity for myself, the students and the film maker, Dani, to finally work together and share sweat, touch, ideas and experiences in one space, for an intensive two week process.
The film below was made by De Montfort technician Daniela Castilla Villamar and captures some of the process undergone by the students.
