In early 2020 I supported visual artist Jas Lucas to develop the performative element of her live contribution to Backlit’s group show Your Changes Could Not Be Saved. Jas’ work, Rearranging The Deckchairs, was a duet between the artist and a large blue tarpaulin and commented on the futility of our online existence and questioned the extent to which we make irl impact. I worked with Jas over two months in the lead-up to the public preview and following exhibition in March 2020.
